If youâve been designated a document Follower by Admin (or if youâre the Author), youâre notified by email of any change in the documentâs status (e.g., Reviewer approved/rejected the document). Click on the âdocumentâ icon to the left of âDoc Nameâ (figure 2) and you will see the documentâs Details(figure 3).

In the Document Details box, youâll see the documentâs:
You automatically âfollowâ any document that you author (upload). That is, OnPolicy lets you know of any change in the documentâs status (if itâs been reviewed, rejected, approved, etc.). Authoring is an âactiveâ role in OnPolicyâs Work Flow. On the other hand, if youâre assigned the Follower role, youâre informed of status changes but you donât have an active role in the document Work Flow.
If youâre an Editor (or Admin), you may make yourself a Follower. You may also assign the Follower role to any user for any document.
If youâre a Reader and you need to follow a particular document, you must ask one of your OnPolicy Editors or the documentâs Author to assign you the Follower role.
